Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Marketing & Business Development Officer to generate high-quality leads, develop strategic partnerships, and increase brand visibility across the UK and Nigerian markets.
This role is ideal for a proactive professional with strong commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, and experience in professional services marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the UK and Nigeria.
- Generate qualified leads for data protection, GRC, AI compliance, and training services.
- Develop corporate partnerships and referral networks.
- Convert prospects into paying clients through structured engagement.
- Digital & Content Marketing
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns (LinkedIn, email marketing, webinars, industry events).
- Promote consultancy and training services through strategic digital outreach.
- Coordinate thought leadership campaigns (articles, compliance alerts, newsletters).
- Manage social media engagement targeting compliance-focused audiences.
- Market Expansion
- Conduct market research in regulated sectors (fintech, healthcare, education, legal, SMEs).
- Identify opportunities for cross-border UK–Nigeria regulatory advisory services.
- Develop sector-specific marketing strategies.
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Manage CRM and pipeline tracking.
- Support proposal drafting and pitch presentations.
- Event & Training Promotion
- Promote corporate training programmes.
- Secure speaking engagements and partnerships.
- Drive attendance for webinars and compliance workshops.

Required Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience in marketing or business development (2+ years preferred)
- Experience marketing professional services (legal, compliance, consulting, fintech, or regulatory sectors)
- Strong understanding of UK and/or Nigerian business environments
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Digital marketing proficiency (LinkedIn, email campaigns, CRM tools)
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset
Desirable:
- Experience in compliance, legal, fintech, or regulatory sectors
- Familiarity with UK GDPR and/or Nigeria Data Protection Act landscape
- Network within SMEs, fintech, or corporate sectors
- Experience generating B2B leads
